MYS 2023: Are you ready, let’s set sail!
| We are getting ready for MYS 23! Fincantieri NexTech are pleased to invite you to Monaco Yacht Show – MYS, from 27th to 30th September 2023, at Port Hercule, Monaco. Fincantieri NexTech, a cutting-edge technology subsidiary of one of the world’s leading shipbuilding Groups, will be displaying its innovative “Light Bridge Console”, a state-of-the-art navigation and control system characterized by a design of absolute prestige, the result of years of research and development representing the latest in the technological frontier of the superyacht industry. In Monaco, the Light Bridge Console will be integrated with our simulator to give you the possibility to manoeuvre your yacht in a virtual environment. The system, considered a plus in combined constructive and engineering design, includes two versions: the “Light Bridge Console” installed on the Benetti Diamond 145 (44 Mt) and the “Light Bridge Captain Chair” installed on the Benetti Oasis 40Mt. In both solutions, carbon fiber is used to obtain a highly resistant, slender, lightweight and totally silent structure. Development of the two projects has been possible thanks to the use of new system integration software technologies developed by Fincantieri NexTech. The technology has been developed entirely in-house using the SEASYacht platform together with the MPEV – Marine Portal EVolution set of graphic libraries, the latest generation of graphics for operator interface development. At MYS ‘23 you can experience our X-Gear, an augmented reality system which helps the operators in maintenance operations by reducing the cognitive load of the decision-making process. X-GEAR is used for paperless information collection, displaying the information as images superimposed onto the user’s vision of the real world, thanks to a wearable visor. It is an immersive technology that enhances the vision of reality through information streaming from a continuously updated database.
