Fincantieri NexTech now owns 100% of IDS

Fincantieri NexTech, part of Fincantieri Group, has increased its shares in privately held IDS Ingegneria Dei Sistemi SpA to 100%. The company is active in Electromagnetic Engineering, Satellite Communications, Unmanned Systems and Radar fields, also through its subsidiaries in Australasia (IDS Australasia Pty Ltd), Canada (IDS North America Ltd), South Korea (IDS Korea Ltd) and United Kingdom (IDS Ingegneria Dei Sistemi UK Limited).

IDS, as an experienced engineering and systems technology company, is perfectly suited to the Fincantieri NexTech expansion strategy of entering into electronics, maritime, defense and unmanned system applications. Moreover, the international footprint of IDS offers the Fincantieri NexTech a platform to further develop its business worldwide.

IDS, founded in 1980 and based in Pisa (Italy), is specialized in providing consulting services for high-tech engineering projects and in developing integrated solutions for civil and defense applications. IDS is an international company with around 250 professional employees worldwide who are mostly graduated in electronic, telecommunications and aerospace engineering.
